Konnexus is partnering with a leading organisation undertaking a significant data transformation initiative. We are seeking a Lead Data Tester who combines strong hands-on data testing expertise with the ability to lead and mentor a small team.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a complex data migration program, ensuring critical business data is accurately migrated, reconciled and validated across multiple platforms and downstream systems. You will take ownership of testing activities while providing guidance and coordination across a small team of analysts.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and accuracy of data throughout the migration lifecycle, working closely with delivery, data engineering, business and project teams.
Responsibilities will include: –
- Leading a small team of test analysts, providing direction, support and oversight across testing activities
- Owning test planning, execution and validation activities across a complex data migration stream
- Performing detailed source-to-target reconciliation and identifying data quality issues, gaps and mismatches before deployment
- Validating data movement across data warehouse, reporting and analytics environments
- Testing ETL processes and integration flows to ensure data is transformed and loaded correctly across connected systems
- Developing test scenarios, test cases and traceability documentation
- Managing defects through to resolution and supporting retesting activities
- Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective test coverage
- Assuring data completeness, transformation accuracy and the integrity of critical business information
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Recent experience working as a Data Test Analyst, Data Migration Tester, Data Quality Analyst or similar role
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a small team of testers or analysts
- Strong hands-on SQL skills with the ability to interrogate, compare and validate large and complex datasets
- Experience testing within modern data warehouse and cloud-based data platforms
- Strong understanding of data migration testing, reconciliation testing and data quality validation
- Experience validating transformation logic, business rules and data lineage
- Exposure to API and integration testing, including system-to-system and file-based data transfers
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, defect management documentation and test completion reports
- Familiarity with testing and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman and other test management platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
