Director – Data & Insights

We are seeking a senior leader to take ownership of enterprise data strategy, analytics, and reporting capability across a complex environment. This role sits within the senior leadership team and plays a critical part in transforming how data is used to improve outcomes, enhance operational performance and guide strategic direction.

The Opportunity
You will lead the evolution of a modern, high-performing data function that delivers meaningful insights across programs, service delivery and organisational performance. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for embedding a data-driven culture, standardising reporting frameworks, and unlocking the full value of data across the organisation.

Along with your strong leadership skills you will need to have a strong understanding of modern data platforms. YOU need to understand the technology.

What You Will Do

• Shape and deliver a forward-looking data and analytics strategy aligned to organisational priorities
• Establish consistent, high-quality data standards, governance and reporting practices
• Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, insights and performance reporting across multiple programs
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and board-level stakeholders
• Partner with internal teams and external organisations to strengthen data capability and integration
• Oversee data platforms, systems and vendor relationships to ensure secure and efficient operations
• Drive continuous improvement across data collection, processing and analytics capability
• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading data and analytics functions within complex environments
• Strong technical capability across modern data platforms, reporting tools and programming languages
• Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-wide data initiatives and transformation programs
• Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and data quality frameworks
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive level
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget and resource management
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into practical delivery
• Experience across complex enterprise environment is essential.
