Data Tester

We are working with a large enterprise organisation to secure an experienced Data Tester for a project-based contract running through to the end of June 2026, with a strong likelihood of further extensions.

This is a critical role within a major data initiative, requiring a hands-on professional who understands not just how to test, but what they are testing. You will bring a strong grasp of data flows, transformations, and business logic, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability across complex enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed data test strategies and test cases across a large-scale data platform
• Validate data transformations, integrations, and end-to-end data pipelines
• Perform reconciliation, source-to-target validation, and defect analysis
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately tested
• Provide clear reporting on defects, risks, and overall data quality

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Data Tester within large enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data validation techniques
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into meaningful test scenarios
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex data sets
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge and question data outcomes
