We are currently working with a well-known Australian organisation that is seeking a Data Science Lead to join their established data analytics function. This is a newly created role which will initially start off as a 12 month contract and report directly into the Head of Data Analytics. This role will be pivotal in developing the data science capability within the organisation to showcase the value that can be leveraged using advanced analytics.
Along with showcasing your expertise across model development this role will also be key in setting up best practices as well as data science strategy.
What you will be doing in this role…..
- Provide insight and contribute to the overall data strategy through the lens of data science
- Establish best practices and frameworks for data science
- Create guidelines for the ethical use of data and ensure that all data science conducted adheres to organisational policies
- Design, develop and deploy ML models and algorithms
- Adhere to strict quality practices specific to model accuracy, reliability and validation
- Work closely with business and technology teams to showcase the use of data science.
Your experience will include……
- 5 + years of experience as a Data Scientist
- Experience working in complex environments
- Proven experience establishing best practices and frameworks around data science
- Development of data science strategies
- Extensive experience in designing and successfully deploying ML Models
- Advocate for Artificial intelligence
- Expertise in Python, R, Business intelligence tools and ML frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
