We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with strong Microsoft Fabric experience to uplift and modernise their analytics platform. This role will play a critical part in establishing best practice across Power BI and Fabric, enabling scalable self-service reporting, and delivering high-quality enterprise analytics solutions.
You will work within a high-performing project team and engage directly with business stakeholders to design, optimise, and deliver trusted data models and insights that empower users across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the uplift of the Power BI and Fabric environment, setting standards and best practice
- Design and build Fabric Lakehouses and Warehouses to support analytical and reporting workloads
- Develop and maintain enterprise semantic models that enable governed self-service reporting
- Enable and promote self-service analytics, ensuring business users can confidently explore and consume data
- Optimise existing Power BI solutions and deliver new dashboards and reports
- Partner closely with stakeholders to define, refine, and translate reporting requirements
- Work across large, complex datasets, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
Required Experience
- Strong senior-level experience as a Senior Power BI Developer
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouses, Warehouses Dataflows, Gen2, Semantic modelling
- Advanced Power Query and DAX expertise
- Strong experience using Tabular Editor and applying data modelling best practices
- Solid SQL skills for data transformation and optimisation
- Proven experience managing Power BI datasets, workspaces, security (RLS), and governance
- Experience with deployment pipelines and multi-environment releases
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including leading requirements workshops and enabling business users
