Project Manager

SUMMARY

This Project Manager position sits within the senior Information Technology leadership team and reports directly to the General Manager of Corporate Technology. The role is accountable for driving the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives that enable organisational outcomes. You will oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, scope, quality, and budget expectations are consistently achieved while maintaining alignment between business and technical teams.

Core Responsibilities: –

  • Manage the full lifecycle of technology initiatives across Agile, Waterfall, or blended delivery models
  • Establish structured delivery frameworks, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, risk planning, and governance controls
  • Drive progress against key milestones and ensure delivery meets defined success criteria
  • Align internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical specialists
  • Lead key forums including workshops, planning sessions, progress updates, and governance meetings
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication on delivery status and outcomes
  • Proactively identify and manage delivery risks and emerging challenges
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking
  • Monitor expenditure to ensure effective cost management and accountability
  • Produce and maintain key delivery artefacts including plans, reports, and post-delivery evaluations
  • Oversee vendor performance and contractual obligations

To be successful in this contract position, you will have:

  • Experience across end-to-end projects within a corporate technology function
  • Demonstrated project delivery capability across complex environments, ideally within retail or health.
  • Experience with projects up to 1 million in budget and broad project experience across corporate systems, HRIS, finance platforms, and data projects.

This role requires you to be in the office 4 days per week. The organisation is located outside of the CBD.
