AI Assurance & Quality Practice Lead

Member of the broader Strategy & Transformation function, partnering closely with leaders across Business Analysis & Design, Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence, Business Testing, Technology, Risk, Data, Digital and Enterprise Transformation teams.

About the Role
We are seeking an experience professional to establish and lead an enterprise-wide approach to the safe, effective and scalable adoption of AI across the organisation.

This highly visible role will define the frameworks, governance models and assurance practices required to support AI-enabled transformation while balancing innovation, risk, compliance and customer outcomes.

Working closely with senior leaders, delivery teams and technology partners, you will create the structures that enable confident decision-making, independent AI assurance and workforce transition into an AI-accelerated future.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can design operating frameworks and governance models while also engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to bring people on the journey.

Key Responsibilities
 
AI Testing & Assurance Frameworks

• Design and implement enterprise AI testing, assurance and validation frameworks.
• Establish standards, controls, guardrails and quality measures for AI-enabled products, services and business processes.
• Define approaches for validating AI outcomes, accuracy, transparency, reliability and business impact.
• Build repeatable practices that support responsible and scalable AI adoption.

Independent AI Validation & Decision Assurance

• Create an independent assurance capability that enables informed organisational decision-making regarding AI solutions.
• Define governance models that move accountability beyond individual Product Owners to a broader enterprise assurance framework.
• Establish evidence-based validation practices that support risk, compliance and executive decision-making.
• Partner with Risk, Legal, Technology and Transformation teams to ensure alignment with governance requirements.

AI-Accelerated Transformation & Operating Model Design

• Shape the future-state framework for AI-enabled delivery and transformation.
• Develop approaches that leverage AI to accelerate analysis, design, testing, continuous improvement and operational outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for process re-engineering, automation and workforce productivity uplift.
• Design scalable operating models that support ongoing AI adoption across the enterprise.

About You
You are a recognised thought leader with experience spanning AI, testing, governance, assurance, transformation and operating model design.

Your experience will include:

• Designing enterprise frameworks, governance models and assurance practices, ideally from a Machine Learning (ML) background across enterprise-wide framework and design.
• A strong understanding of AI technologies and their practical application within large, regulated organisations.
• Expertise in testing, quality management, risk and compliance environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing capability – this is a highly visible role
• Experience leading organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives.
• The ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and practical implementation.
• Strong facilitation, communication and executive engagement skills.
